Description
Star anise imparts a licorice-like flavor with a note of sweetness. Add one or two whole star anise to simmered meats or poultry for that classic chinese flavor. Enhances mulled cider and citrus punches with a subtle licorice taste. Stews and cooked beans will have a rich, sweet mellowness with the addition of one or two stars.
